COMPANY DESCRIPTION
THKMC was incorporated on 13 October 2011 as a charity to provide multiple social and welfare services to the community at large, and achieved an Institute of Public Character (IPC) status on 18 November 2011. THKMC is the charitable arm of Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society, which lives by the mission To Serve Mankind to help anyone who needs help regardless of their race, religion, colour, language, creed and culture. THKMC today serves more than 70,000 beneficiaries through more than 70 programmes across five Services, which include Disability, Early Intervention for Children, Family, Seniors' Community, and Therapy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Early Intervention for Children (EIC) Services helps equip children with motor, communication, social, self-help and cognitive skills. THK EIC involves structuring classes around small groups encompassing early childhood special education, social work and therapy support services to stimulate their adaptive functioning and school readiness skills.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to senior staff, teams or departments
- Support in consolidating and analysing fairly complex information or data. Prepare clear and concise reports as needed.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to work collaboratively with our trans-disciplinary team of professionals.
- Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills and sound judgment in resolving administrative challenges. Independently manage routine tasks, seeking clarification or guidance from senior staff when necessary for complex situations
- Coordinate and manage routine administrative support functions across offices and departments.
- Prioritise tasks effectively to ensure smooth operations and adherence to deadlines
- Participate in budget preparation by gathering and organising relevant information
- Act as a liaison for internal and external administrative enquiries.
- Opportunities to support the formulation and implementation of policies and procedures for assigned area e.g. production of documents, workflow, filing, ordering of supplies, records maintenance, and other services.
- Support office operations ranging from facilities maintenance, procurement to logistics such as transportation of items between centres etc.
- May monitor funding, equipment or employee records.
- May act as a liaison between division and IT department for division's IT services and equipment needs. Interest in IT and functional IT knowledge is a bonus.
- Participate in risk management initiatives as well as activities that support centre operations such as Business Continuity Management, Data Protection, BizSafe, Environmental Sanitation Regime etc.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
- Degree / Diploma or equivalent experience in a relevant field
- Mature, independent, meticulous, flexible thinking and resourceful.
- Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suiteInterest in learning and keen to develop professionally.
- Passion to serve in the social service sector.
