In this position as an Assistant Underwriter, you will work alongside with a dynamic team and focusing on Energy (Upstream and Renewables). In your day to day duties, you will be expected to assist in the review of new and renewal risks including slip analysis, perform rating analysis, pricing models, contract certainty review and undertake premium monitoring. The ideal incumbent will be involved in assisting in analysis, monitoring risks written and preparing reports and statistical information as required by the underwriters.
In order to be successful in this position, you will be required to liaise with brokers and develop good working relationships with the broking/support teams. You will also be expected to work/liaise closely with other internal stakeholders across various divisions such as credit control, claims, internal risk review, actuarial etc.

skills and experience required
- 1+ years of experience as an assistant underwriter, underwriting assistant or broker in Upstream Energy or Marine Hull space
- Some knowledge of Oil & Gas Industry or offshore energy will be good to have
- Candidate with Broking experience may apply
- Strong team player and fast learner
- Highly adaptable and ability to work in fast paced environment
