Job Scopes:
- Read and understand blueprints, engineering drawings, weld specifications, and symbols.
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding machinery and other workshop hand tools.
- Qualified to use SAW, MIG, SMAW, and TIG processes.
- Select filler materials, welding parameters, and tools/equipment.
- Ensure proper fusion, strength, and quality of welds or overlays under varying conditions and with different materials.
- Repair and maintain fixtures and tools.
- Diagnose and correct weld defects.
- Assist in gouging, oxy-flame cutting, grinding, and material handling in challenging conditions.
- Perform welding or overlay work using manual or automated processes with appropriate materials.
- Visually inspect welds to meet quality standards.
- Ensure proper segregation of non-conforming products.
- Perform other assigned related duties.
Requirements:
- Proficient in MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and SAW (Submerged Arc Welding).
- Able to understand blueprints and engineering drawings
