Job Purpose

The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy think-tank at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. The Institute analyses public policy; builds bridges between thought leaders; communicates its findings to a wide audience; and provides a platform for mature, open, and incisive discussion on Singapore’s challenges, options, and direction.

IPS is looking to appoint two Executives (Development) on a two-year contract. S/he will work closely with the Associate Director and Manager to manage donor-related matters and support fundraising.

Job Description

• Work closely with Associate Director and Manager (Fundraising and Donor Relations) in increasing support from donors; routinely identify and qualify prospective donors for donations.
• Donor/ prospect research and fundraising pipeline building.
• Provide administrative and logistical support in fundraising efforts through special projects/ initiatives.
• Support donor “thank you” process with the preparation of stewardship and endowment reports.
• Support the management and execution of donor events (e.g. donors recognition receptions, luncheons, dinners, dedication ceremonies). This may require coordination of invitations, speakers, food/ drink, guest lists, etc. with internal and external parties.
• Manage donor/ prospect records and database.

Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor’s degree.
• Work experience in a non-profit organisation or education institute is preferred.
• Strong research skills required to thoroughly identify, assess, and engage potential prospects and donors.
• Meticulous attention to detail, good customer service, interpersonal and communications skills.
• Strong administrative and logistical skills.
• Be a good team player and a reliable worker.
• Excellent command of English and capacity to write clearly.
• Experience with organisation and project management skills.
• Good knowledge of MS office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
