Our Client, a leading blockchain financial institution, is seeking a highly qualified Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team. As Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to our senior management.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of legal matters pertaining to blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, financial regulations, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents including partnerships, vendor agreements, and client contracts.
- Conduct legal research and stay updated on regulatory developments and industry trends relevant to blockchain technology and financial services.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including the CEO and other departments, to address legal issues and provide strategic advice.
- Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with business operations, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and best practices.
- Handle legal disputes, investigations, and regulatory inquiries as they arise.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) or equivalent law degree from a recognized and large jurisdiction.
- Solid understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and financial services regulations.
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements and transactions.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to apply legal principles to practical business situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Openness to travel occasionally as required for business needs.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with blockchain or fintech companies is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with international legal frameworks and cross-border transactions.
- Membership in good standing with a relevant bar association.
