Engineer Manager

This position reports to director and interfaces with Organisation managers and HR staff. Specific Responsibilities

Individual to be involved in:

1. Introductory to company's standard operating procedures, and the functions and specifications of packaging machinery
2. Manages engineering process and teams that innovate, develop, and manufacture product packaging ensuring product complies with regulations, and meet cost objectives
3. Establishes processes for testing, analysis, and selection of materials ensuring durability and cost effectiveness of packaging
4. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors ensuring cost-effective procurement of packaging materials
5. Evaluate supplier performance, establish long-term partnerships with key vendors, and negotiate contracts with suppliers
6. Conduct hiring, onboarding, and training for new team members
7. Perform regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support career development and growth for team members
8. Align engineering initiatives with overall business objectives, market trends, and industry developments
9. Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and competitive advantage in packaging solutions
10. Prepare and present reports on project status, team performance, and key metrics to senior management.
11. Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all engineering activities, including designs, specifications, test results, and project records
