The School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering is looking to hire a Research Fellow for the development of a Li-ion battery digital twin for an electric vehicle. The Research Fellow will play a vital role in developing AI and data analytics techniques to extract optimal model parameters, advancing our objective to improve the performance and safety of EV batteries and drive innovation in the field of battery management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop novel scientific computing and physics-informed machine learning models for Li-ion batteries.
- Develop data and AI-based optimization techniques for thermal and health management of EV batteries.
- Develop components of a battery Digital Twin (includes system integration, data processing, data quality control, and data visualization).
Job Requirement
- PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Energy Engineering related fields
- Knowledge of Li-ion battery.
- Research experience in predictive maintenance, battery thermal and health management.
- Research experience in mathematical modelling, data analytics and scientific machine learning model development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Matlab and Python.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as required to publish research.
