Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Corporate Development Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in strategy consulting, preferably from a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain), and possess a deep understanding of the digital banking sector. This role will be pivotal in driving our growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, investor relations and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the corporate development strategy in alignment with the bank’s overall business objectives. Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities, including potential mergers, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.
· Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends, market opportunities, and potential threats. Provide actionable insights to senior management.
· Deal Sourcing and Execution: Lead the end-to-end M&A process, from identifying targets to deal negotiation and integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful transaction execution and post-merger integration.
· Financial Modelling and Valuation: Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential deals. Conduct rigorous financial analysis and due diligence to support investment decisions.
· Stakeholder Management: Engage and build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including potential partners, investors, and regulatory bodies. Present strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
· Project Management: Oversee and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals. Work closely with internal teams to drive project execution and monitor progress.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
· 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or a related field.
· Proven track record of success in strategic planning, M&A, and business development, ideally within the financial services or fintech sector.
· Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide strategic insights.
· Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus among senior stakeholders.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Highly self-motivated and results-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Preferred Background:
· Experience at a top-tier consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) with a focus on financial services or digital banking.
· In-depth knowledge of the digital banking landscape and emerging trends in fintech.
· Proven ability to drive strategic initiatives and deliver measurable business outcomes.
