Job Description
- Perform numerical and finite element analysis of fiber-reinforced composite specimens, tanks and pipes.
- Optimize lay-up, materials selection and design of thermoplastic composite tanks and pipes.
- Model and optimize automatic fiber placement (AFP) and filament winding (FW) processes for thermoplastic composites.
- Perform limited experimental characterization of mechanical properties of thermoplastic composites.
- Work closely with other work packages (WP) within the program.
Qualifications
- PhD from reputable university in applied mechanics.
- Expertise in fiber-reinforced composites.
- Proficient in advanced finite element and numerical analysis.
- Experience in research in mechanical engineering and fiber-reinforced composites preferred.
