The Senior Director, Risk Management will play a pivotal role in building up our financial risk management system to help the Risk Management Committee understand our financial risks and mitigations. Reporting directly to the COO, this individual will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management frameworks and policies. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership to align risk management initiatives with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks.
- Build and enhance the financial risk management system to provide comprehensive insights into financial risks and mitigations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate risk management into strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
- Monitor and report on risk exposure and risk mitigation activities to the COO and the Risk Management Committee.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management.
- Foster a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management across the organization.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in risk management to continuously improve the company’s risk management framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in risk management
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective risk management frameworks and policies.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to risk management.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and other stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as CRM, FRM, or PRM are highly desirable.
