Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Finance to:
- Oversee the preparation and dissemination of accurate and timely financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS 17, other regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Perform detailed financial analysis and generate insights to support decision-making.
- Optimize financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
- Oversee investment operations and investment reporting, ensuring alignment with company strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor financial plans.
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on financial matters, particularly from a regulatory standpoint.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes, including IFRS 17, and ensure company compliance.
- Drive finance transformation initiatives to improve processes, systems, and overall financial performance.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance the finance function.
Skills and experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or CFA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Head of Finance/Financial Controller or similar role within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of financial and investment reporting, finance operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead finance transformation initiatives.
- Experience with IFRS 17 implementation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems.
