Responsibilities:
- Design, optimize, and troubleshoot storage and transfer operations for chemicals and related materials.
- Conduct process simulations and analysis to improve throughput, efficiency, and environmental sustainability.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational reliability and reduce costs.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures for storage & transfer operations.
- Conduct HAZOP studies, risk assessments, and safety audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA).
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and industry standards (e.g., ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).
- Maintain documentation and records related to regulatory compliance and operational procedures.
- Optimize manpower and equipment utilization to achieve high productivity and operational efficiency.
- Monitor and control operational costs, including budgeting and expenditure tracking.
- Lead initiatives for energy conservation, waste reduction, and sustainable practices within storage & transfer operations.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and operators on SOPs, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Conduct regular training sessions and toolbox talks to ensure staff competency and adherence to standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 -3 years of relevant process engineering experience in the chemical industries
- Candidates with relevant internship experience is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and best practices in chemical manufacturing.
- Experience in ISO 14 001 and OHSAS 18 001
