Our client is a manufacturer of semiconductor equipment, offering a range of products and services. The company specializes in providing semiconductor test and inspection handlers, micro-electromechanical system (MEMS) test modules, semiconductor automated test equipment, test subcontractors, and thermal subsystems. Their product line extends to encompass test handling systems, PCB test systems, inspection and metrology tools, data analytics solutions, interface products, as well as spare parts and kits tailored for the semiconductor industry.

Catering to diverse markets, including automotive, computing and network, consumer electronics, mobility, industrial and medical sectors, IoT/IoV (Internet of Things/Internet of Vehicles), and optoelectronics, the company has established a significant business presence in North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.



Position Summary:

Director of Supply Chain oversees the supply chain and procurement on a global basis for all Interface Solutions Group (ISG) business lines. This group is a key part of company's operations, specializing in semiconductor test sockets and contactors. This role will influence, provide strategic thought leadership and hands-on engagement while growing an integrated supply chain. Drive multi-year supply chain initiatives and strategies across the organization. Oversee the supply chain management function in connection with the procurement of materials, parts, components, systems, and equipment.



Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage global best practices across all Interface Solutions Group (ISG) supply chain functions to drive improvement in overall business results.
  • Drive continuous improvement by utilizing KPI’s, tools, metrics, and systems to achieve best-in-class performance. Identify strategies to deliver year-over-year cost improvements.
  • Be responsible for establishing, developing, and managing strategic internal and external partner, supplier, and customer relationships.
  • Partner with and influence R&D, critical suppliers, and other stakeholders at the leadership-level, while managing complex 3rd party relationships.
  • Negotiate major contracts and coordinate purchasing activities with the engineering and manufacturing departments to maintain inventories at planned levels. Review and plan requirements for acceptable global inventory.
  • Plan and implement activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of materials as well coordinating global procurement efforts.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
  • Ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels for all global manufacturing sites.
  • Monitor and understand corporate financial measurements that dictate changes in department activities.
  • Coordinate with finance/accounting on matters involving inventory.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. This role will hire, manage, and retain a high-performance supply chain team, including acting as a mentor and coach for the team.



Management Responsibility: Oversee direct staff of Interface Solutions Group (ISG) supply chain and procurement professionals located in the Singapore and other regions along with matrixed organizations company’s global development centers in the U.S., Germany and Singapore.



Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field. Master’s degree in supply chain preferred. Professional certifications in Logistics, Operations, and/or Purchasing ideal.

Professional Affiliations: Membership with CIPS/BPICS or equivalent highly desired.



Experience:

15+ years of progressive responsibility and leadership in supply chain management, preferably in Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machining production environment and back-end semiconductor capital equipment.



Skills/Technical Requirements:

  • A proven track record of achievement in Global Supply Chain Management for a large enterprise.
  • Considerable experience working in companies that design and manufacture complex electro-mechanical systems and parts.
  • Detailed knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (Oracle Cloud products preferred) and JIT philosophies.
  • Extensive experience coordinating multi-site manufacturing and distribution of products.
  • The ability to collaborate with multiple sources, teams, functions to achieve objectives.
  • Excellent negotiation skills within an engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing new processes to increase efficiency.
  • Experience in supplier process development, quality management and understanding of failure analysis and problem solving.
  • Strong demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability, competence, and confidence to lead people.
  • Great experience with learning a product and understanding the internal stakeholders as well as driving complex issues in a cross functional environment.
  • Creative thinking and strong problem solving and troubleshooting capabilities. Experience making decisions and track record of managing multiple issues successfully.
  • Ability to function successfully in a highly dynamic, high-pressure environment while remaining calm and confident.
  • Attention to details and yet ability to look at the overall picture. Be a result-driven, self-starter possessing strong interpersonal skills with a strong focus on supporting customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with ability to understand and customize messaging based on intended audience.



Job Conditions/Physical Demands: Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment but will spend time at customer sites and factory floors. Regular domestic and international travel is required.



Salary: SGD200,000 – SGD250,000
