Responsibilities
To provide legal advisory support to Corporate Banking and International Private Banking businesses
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To review, draft and negotiate various legal documentation including loan agreements, banking facilities, trade documents, the Bank’s standard documentation, outsourcing agreements and service level agreements
- To assist on corporate secretarial matters and co-ordinate the filing of annual and periodic returns under the Companies Act, including Corp-Pass governance
- To review term sheets, legal opinions, and non-disclosure agreements for lending facilities
- To provide legal consultation and support to all levels of the Bank and develop practical legal solutions to complex business initiatives
- To liaise with/consult Head Office Legal and external counsels on the Bank’s legal affairs
- To advise on Personal Data Protection Act (“PDPA”) matters and provide periodic training on PDPA to staffs as well as conduct periodic review of the internal guidelines
- To participate in compliance-related projects and/or perform any other duties as may be assigned by Team Lead of Legal and Head of Legal and Compliance from time to time
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Singapore law qualifications with 2-3 years Post Qualified Experienced (“PQE”)
- Sound working knowledge of Banking Laws and Regulations (e.g. Banking Act, Securities and Futures Act and Financial Advisers Act)
- Creative, resourceful, meticulous, analytical and able to work independently with excellent verbal and report-writing skills
- Self-driven and a team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
