BMS-Specific Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage BMS for optimal HVAC, lighting, and power system performance.
- Use BMS software to track metrics, identify inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions.
- Configure and program BMS to control building systems per specified schedules.
- Customize control strategies to enhance performance and energy efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot BMS issues, including sensors and controllers.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of BMS components.
- Analyze BMS data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Generate reports on system performance and maintenance activities.
- Integrate BMS with other systems (fire alarms, security, access control) for cohesive management.
- Recommend and implement BMS upgrades.
- Stay updated on BMS technology advancements and best practices.
- Provide training and support for building occupants and staff on BMS use.
- Develop user manuals and training materials.
General Building Technician Responsibilities (with BMS Integration)
- Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests.
- Assist in planning and executing renovation and upgrade projects.
- Fulfill maintenance requests from tenants or occupants.
- Manage maintenance supplies and tools inventory.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Job Requirement:
- Proficiency in BMS software and hardware.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building
- Ability to analyze data from BMS and make informed decisions.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Good communication skills to interact with tenants, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
- Relevant certifications in BMS, HVAC, electrical work, plumbing, or other technical areas may be required or preferred.
