Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and innovative Curriculum Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing a comprehensive curriculum for children aged 18 months to 6 years.
This curriculum will align with our vision to create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that prepares children for future academic and personal success.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development:
- Design and develop an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum for children aged 18 months to 6 years, incorporating core subjects and enrichment activities.
- Ensure the curriculum promotes intellectual growth, creativity, curiosity, and confidence.
Content Creation:
- Develop lesson plans, educational materials, and assessments that are engaging and suitable for various learning styles and developmental stages.
- Incorporate a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
Implementation and Training:
- Work closely with teachers to implement the curriculum effectively in the classroom.
- Provide training and support to educators on curriculum delivery and best practices.
Evaluation and Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the curriculum through feedback, observations, and assessments.
- Make necessary adjustments to enhance the learning experience and outcomes for students.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure the curriculum meets ECDA requirements and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and research in early childhood education.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree in these fields is highly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in curriculum development or educational content creation, specifically within the Singapore early childhood educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies. Familiarity with current educational standards and the latest research in various pedagogies (e.g., Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf).
Skills:
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.
- Creative and innovative approach to curriculum design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and staff.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets deadlines.
