Job Description:
As the Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering a seamless and exceptional dining experience. You will work closely with our chef, and handle a variety of tasks, including guest interaction, operational management, and hands-on assistance in the kitchen. Your roles include the following:
- To greet and welcome guests, ensuring they feel valued and attended to throughout their dining experience
- To manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure a smooth flow of service
- To address guest inquiries and special requests, ensuring guest’s needs are satisfied
- To assist the chef with meal preparation and presentation as needed
- To maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen, dining area, and general spaces
- To wash dishes and kitchen utensils, ensuring adherence to hygiene standards
- To coordinate with suppliers to manage inventory, ensuring the availability of seasonal ingredients and supplies
- To handle financial transactions, manage budgets, and implement cost-control measures.
- To uphold the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service
- To ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- To build lasting relationships with guests through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements:
- Preferred with 2 years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry
- Candidate with experience in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting, preferably with knowledge of Japanese cuisine and Japanese language will have an added advantage
- English and Mandarin language proficiency to attend to English and Mandarin-speaking guests’ needs and complaints promptly and politely
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest service.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a chef and manage the unique demands of a premium, intimate dining environment.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Physical stamina and willingness to perform hands-on tasks, including dishwashing and assisting in meal preparation.
