Job Description
- Assess the work hazards, submit risk assessments, mitigating measures and address all comments from the OIC prior to commencement of all works.
- Submit method statements where necessary to the OIC for approval before the commencement of inspection works.
- Plan, manage and co-ordinate all activities related to the work programmes as set forth in the Requirement Specifications.
- Prepare and submit all programmes, schedules (daily, monthly), monthly progress reports to the OIC.
- Check on the progress of works and ensure inspections are carried out according to schedule, unless prior approval has been sought to make adjustments.
- Ensure that all resources, equipment, etc are in good working condition at all times, and ensure timely and adequate covering for Inspectors who may be unable to perform their roles at any point in time
- Ensure that all inspection works carried out are in accordance with the Requirement Specifications and comply with any written law and statutory requirements in Singapore
- Ensure that the team of inspectors are equipped with the necessary equipment and that the inspectors are competent and well versed with the Authority’s standards and requirements.
- Ensure proper and adequate covering for Inspectors who may be unable to perform their roles at any point in time.
- Ensure that Inspectors’ daily inspection reports and other additional reports or findings are in order.
- Any other tasks as instructed by the OIC or Authority.
Job Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience and knowledge in Project Management and Engineering Works to manage all the various types of works as set forth in the Requirement Specifications and to assume all the duties and responsibilities as set forth in the Contract
- A Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers (PE) Board or other qualifications acceptable by the Commissioner of Building Control for registration as Resident Engineer.
- A certificate in Pavement Construction and Maintenance which is awarded by the Building Authority (BCA), or equivalent and has completed a course on Code of Practice for Traffic Control at Work Zone.
- Able to communicate and write effectively in English; Minimally a Pass in English Language as first Language at GCE’ O level or equivalent.
Project duration : 1 Year +(1 Year Extension)
