The incumbent will be required to assist the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue in the operations of the Sales & Marketing Department. Establishes, solicits and maintains business clients for the Hotel and constantly service such clients and their components. Conduct regular researches into competitor hotel’s room rates and activities and report to the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue, to achieve optimum profitability. Entertains business clients on a regular basis and attends to all administrative details. Supervise the Sales Managers and assist them in scheduling their sales activities, monitors their productivity, develops and maintains good relationships with clients to meet sales targets.
Job Descriptions
· Assist the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue in the direction, supervision and administration of the sales team
· Set up regular call cycles of the sales team in accordance with sales productivity policy.
· Picks up and passes on sales leads to other members of the team.
· Sets up and implements a continuous staff training programme.
· Maintains local mailing list of all major accounts.
· Screens daily sales reports and provides information to the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue.
· To read and extract (from Company’s subscriptions of newspapers and publications).
· To monitor Singapore’s economic development in terms of new industries, fading industries.
· To analyze tourist/visitor flow into Singapore, highlighting segmentation of visitors (geographically and socioeconomically) current prime markets potential markets.
· To keep track of the efforts of the STB, SHA/SHATEC, SCB and travel agencies in promoting Singapore as a tourist/convention centre.
· Meets and entertains in-house VIP guests as and when necessary.
· Conducts inspection tour of the hotel for corporate and other business related clients.
· Co-ordinates banquet sales and passes on sales lead for banquets, conferences and conventions.
· Travel overseas on sales trips for business promotion assigned by the Director of Sales.
· Attends meetings and training whenever required.
· Carries out additional tasks and any other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Director of Sales & Revenue diligently and to the best of ability.
Job Requirements
· Experience within Sales and marketing would be a strong advantage.
· Exceptionally hard-working, self-motivated and be willing to do whatever it takes to achieve targets,
