Mechanical Engineers Specialising in Plumbing and Sanitary Systems
We are seeking talented Mechanical Engineers specialising in plumbing and sanitary systems to join our team for small to medium-sized building contracts. Below is an overview of the scope of work:
1. Preparing Shop Drawings
- Create detailed and accurate shop drawings based on architectural plans and contract specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Singapore Standards Code of Practice on Water Services and Code of Practice on Sewerage and Sanitary Works.
- Coordinate with consultants, the main contractor, and other subcontractors (e.g., structural, electrical) to resolve any potential clashes or conflicts.
- Revise drawings as necessary based on feedback from architects, contractors, and other stakeholders.
2. Preparing Drawings for Submission to PUB
- Prepare and compile all necessary documentation and drawings for submission to PUB before the commencement of work, including Notification and Certification of Satisfactory Completion upon completion of works.
- Ensure that drawings comply with PUB’s Code of Practice on Water Services and Sewerage and Sanitary Works.
- Liaise with PUB officials to address any queries or modifications required for approval.
- Maintain records of submissions and approvals for project documentation.
3. Site Progress Updates and Meetings
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect the progress of plumbing and sanitary works.
- Attend site meetings with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to discuss progress, issues, and solutions.
- Provide updates and reports on the status of plumbing and sanitary installations.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications.
4. Progress Claims
- Measure and document the completed work for plumbing and sanitary installations.
- Prepare progress claims based on the work completed, in accordance with the contract terms.
- Submit progress claims to clients or main contractors for review and approval.
- Address any discrepancies or disputes related to progress claims in a timely manner.
5. Quality Assurance and Control
- Develop and implement quality assurance and control procedures for plumbing and sanitary installations.
- Conduct inspections and tests to verify the quality of materials and workmanship.
- Document and report any quality issues, and work with contractors to rectify them.
6. Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to plumbing and sanitary installations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures on-site.
- Provide safety training and guidance to workers as needed.
