About Role:

We are looking for an Associate in Sustainability to join the Building Engineering Department's sustainability team. Reporting to an Associate Director, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing technical support for commercial bid submissions and will independently lead projects, delivering innovative technical solutions to both design and client teams. Familiarity with Singapore's sustainability regulations and codes is essential for this role.


Key Responsibilities:

Environmental Design Expertise:

  • Proficient in green building rating systems: LEED, Green Mark, WELL, Smart Score, True Waste, LEAF, and ILFI.
  • Skilled in environmental simulations: energy modeling, daylight analysis, CFD, and life cycle carbon assessment.
  • Capable of supporting and managing project resources and understanding current project requirements.

Technical Support and Project Management:

  • Provide technical support for commercial bid submissions.
  • Possess in-depth technical knowledge of project execution.
  • Strong understanding of project management tools.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Facilitate regular team meetings to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Lead projects independently, delivering technical solutions to both design and client teams.

Coordination and Document Management:

  • Proactively coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to produce cohesive and high-quality presentation and design documents.
  • Review and coordinate project documents, including multi-disciplinary drawings, design reports, and technical specifications.

Adherence to Standards and Professional Development:

  • Understand and adhere to project contractual requirements, delivering high-quality outputs within established schedules.
  • Well-versed in local sustainability regulations and codes.
  • Committed to continuous professional development (CPD) to maintain up-to-date skills and knowledge.


Key Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in a field related to building engineering, sustainability, or architecture.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in sustainability consulting or building engineering.
  • Proven track record in delivering successful local and international projects in the built environment.

Certifications:

  • Must have at least three green building accreditations, including:
  • Green Mark AP (required)
  • LEED AP (required)
  • WELL AP (required)
  • TRUE Advisor (desired)
  • WiredScore AP (desired)

Technical Expertise:

  • Experienced in environmental simulations and analyses, including:
  • Energy modeling
  • Daylight analysis
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Parametric modeling
  • Life cycle carbon analysis
  • Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting

Skills:

  • Effective multitasking and collaborative skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient in relevant software, including:

  • AutoCAD | Rhino | Grasshopper | IES VE | Adobe Suite | One-Click LCA | Ansys | Star-CCM | OpenFOAM
