Overall Job Description
The Analyst is responsible for collecting, blending and conducting analyses on data from various sources to interpret and draw meaningful insights to support decision-making on business, products and solutions. He/ She assists in building analytical tools and working with stakeholders to understand their requirements to design reports and visualisation approaches. He/ she makes use of data processing systems to conduct full lifecycle analyses on available data to optimise its value to the organisation.
The Analyst possesses a good knowledge of data analytics, machine learning, data mining and the ability to solve problems using his/ her data. He/ she is driven to learn and enjoys working with data. He/ she adopts an analytical approach to solving problems and displays confidence when communicating ideas. He/ she is also good team player and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
Investment Analysis
- Originate and undertake financial modelling for project analysis, development and evaluation
- Carry out research and analysis on real estate markets, including identification of key market themes
- Assist in underwriting including due diligence and seeing through the entire process till completion of deals
- Prepare written reports and make presentations to the relevant management levels for approval
- Collecting and analyzing market data
Asset and Project Management
- Assist in overseeing performance of assets and projects by analysing performance versus market benchmarks, positioning and implementation of effective marketing plans and control of operating expenses to maximise income and profits from assets and projects
- Assist in the preparation and review of comprehensive annual property business plans
- Prepare quarterly asset and project management reports. This covers financial performance, sales status, project updates etc
Requirements
- Degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related discipline
- Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant working experience in a related industry
- Knowledge of real estate economics & development process would be preferred
- Experience in real estate funds and/or real estate investment would be preferred but candidates from related disciplines will also be considered
- Strong financial modelling, research, quantitative and analytical skills
- Fluency in oral and written English to facilitate communication with senior management, internal stakeholders as well as external parties
- Keen attention to detail and able to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills, a good team player and a flexible mindset adaptable to changes
