(A) JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting and supporting the Medical Affairs administrator for medical affairs and clinical quality matters for the hospital. Your responsibilities include providing assistance to the Medical Advisory Board, Continuing Medical Education, Doctor’s Accreditation and liaising with the Ministry of Health, coordinating meetings and collating issues with regard to medico-legal matters. You will also assist in daily Medical Record Office (MRO) operations including the optimization of MRO workflows and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) journey.
(B) PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible to schedule Medical Advisory Board & Sub-Committee Board meetings and inform Committee members of such meetings and any other related matter (e.g. taking of minutes of meeting) and assist the Manager in her secretariat work and follow up leading up to the meeting.
- Administer the applications for doctors’ accreditation, reaccreditation, and privileging matters, and maintain master files and database of the accredited doctors
- Administered of Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities such as organizing of medical talks / seminars / workshops for doctors and CME point submissions
- Assist the Medical Affairs administrator for managing the activities of Medico-legal and related matters
a).Clinical Cases
i).Investigates, records and maintains all necessary data involving medical-legal cases. Summarizing the information gathered and prepares preliminary report for Management.
ii).Prepare final report that incorporated the comments, suggestions and decision making by Management
iii).Draft accurate replies
b).Medical information / queries
i).Respond to medical information queries from internal and external parties. Draft accurate replies and maintain medical query database
(C) SECONDARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the preparation of the renewal of MOH Licensing and Accreditation
- Assists in the submission of data into Healthcare Application and Licensing Portal (HALP) or any other regulating bodies for the hospital.
- Help drives medical affairs improvement projects such as e-credentialing and recredentialing.
- Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the company from time based on company’s needs
- Assist with Medical Record Office processes as we embark on electronic documentation:
i).Optimization of MRO operations including checking of case notes to ensure completeness of the case notes to help clear the backlog of case notes to facilitate the process of moving from hard copy case notes to electronic notes.
ii).Liaise with vendors on the digitization of the case notes (scanning of hard copy notes) and storage of the physical case notes at the offsite storage facility.
(D) KEY JOB SPECIFICATIONS
- Relevant tertiary qualification Degree in any discipline. Medical/Nursing degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Relevant experience in healthcare services managing medical affairs is an advantage.
