Roles & Responsibilities
- Participate in the design and engineering works for the CAPEX/improvement projects.
- Prepare and compile project documents such as Scope of Work, BOQ, Equipment Master list, Technical Specifications and related documents.
- Raise Management of Change (MOC) requests and follow through the entire MOC process for the assigned projects.
- Prepare tender documents and carry out the tender exercise.
- Source and procure equipment and materials, ensuring technical compliance from the vendors and suppliers.
- Drive assigned projects towards successful completion, ensuring all work activities are executed per project technical specifications, within the established schedule, and in compliance with local statutory and company Safety, Health, environmental rules & regulations.
- Manage site construction activities and provide engineering support to site personnel.
- Support commissioning and testing activities on the newly installed system and equipment.
- Compile and update all related documentation into the project database.
- Actively participate in safety studies such as HAZOP, EHA, Area Classification, facility siting, etc., and implement recommendations.
- Actively participate in the site Process Safety Management Programs.
- Carry out plant & facility maintenance activities safely, efficiently, and effectively such as:
- Establishing maintenance programs and strategies for E&I equipment for process plant and utilities
- Troubleshoot equipment problems to minimize equipment downtime
- Provide practical and cost-effective solutions to all E&I-related issues or problems
- Review and maintain Inventory Spares to ensure undisrupted operations
- Develop and review maintenance procedures & work records, inspection reports, AutoCAD drawings, etc.
- Upkeep of ISO 9000, 14000, and SS 651:2019 standard requirements
- Continually source for reliable and competitive equipment/spare part suppliers and project contractors
- Monitor plant equipment performance identify areas for improvement and carry out shutdown works
- Any other duties as and when delegated by the Engineering & SHEQ Manager.
Minimum Job Requirements/Competency
- Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years relevant working experience, preferably in petrochemical, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Possess good technical knowledge in electrical, instrument, and control disciplines, especially on electrical equipment, instruments, and DCS/PLC control system operation and maintenance and in executing CAPEX/improvement projects.
- Well-versed in MS Office applications and AutoCAD.
- Positive attitude and hardworking, willing to work after office hours to follow-up projects/support plant maintenance.
- Good team player who is willing to contribute actively.
- Competent in planning and scheduling plant maintenance and engineering project activities.
- Able to multi-task and work under minimal supervision.
