Job Requirements
- At least Degree/Diploma in Marine related profession.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ work experience in Marine Industries, preferably with Management of ship operations or repairs.
- Results-oriented and performance driven.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Any additional IT skills will be an advantage
- Relevant experience in Marine related industry
Main Areas of Responsibility
Tech
- Coordinate with service provider for effective implementation and monitoring of SMARTSHIP for fleet, and work with technical superintendents for data analytics and corrective actions.
- Assist Technical Supt to gather, verify and analyze the data of Downtime on monthly basis.
- Prepare materials for Monthly Board Meeting.
- Carry out data analytics of lube oil consumption, identify trends and prepare summary report on Monthly basis.
- Coordinate with bunker suppliers for lube oil and fuel oil sample analysis and maintain a good record for fleet.
- Assist Technical Supt in monitoring and summarizing Ongoing Defect List.
- Maintain proper records of vessel’s trading certificates & correspondence with Class and Flag.
- Update and circulate Survey Status to vessels every month.
- Maintain a good record of the vessel’s annual service and re-inspection report.
- Liaise with the vessel’s Flag to carry out annual LRIT test and Safety Inspection, applicable to those flying Panama Flag only.
- Provide administrative support for superintendent who is going to visit/sail with ship, and update ship visit plan.
- Undertake any other Technical related assignments as and when required.
- Attend Technical Department meetings, record minutes and distribute as required.
- Assist fleet personnel and other administrative duties when called upon.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
Marine
- Assist Supt in upkeep of Marine Team related vessel Certificates in K/Drive and SHIPNET
- Monitor daily reporting of vessel, frontline contact, and interface with each vessel in the operating areas including correspondence with vessels
- Report if any incidents that may occur i.e. machinery/equipment/barge break down.
- Administer and assist in the preparation of all documentation
- Support management system documentation
- Respond to enquiries and issues; exercise sound judgment where necessary and escalates issues to managers where appropriate
- Provide occasional reception relief, collaborates effectively with other assistants, maintains department contact information
