Job Requirements
• Minimum Diploma in a business field Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing
• Demonstrate previous experience in procurement of marine spares and stores within the Shipping industry will be an added advantage.
• Ability to negotiate.
• Proficient in Microsoft office.
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Meticulous, systematic and self-motivated individual
Areas of Responsibility
• General administration duties relating to purchasing, delivery and goods receipt (e.g. vendor registration)
• Negotiate and co-ordinate with suppliers/internal teammates/external vendors for best pricing support and delivery schedule
• Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from both local and overseas vendors.
• Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions, maintain supplier relationships and negotiate annual pricing strategies
• Expected to research new markets and present data to support your findings and recommendations
• Generate Purchase Order and forward to respective suppliers/vendors
• Maintain accurate database and records in Procurement System.
• Works closely with Finance on payment schedule
• Overseeing all activities of the purchasing department. Preparing plans for the purchase of equipment, services and supplies. Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
