Salling Search is currently recruiting a Senior Operations Executive for an international agricultural commodity trading firm to be based in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire spectrum of shipping operations and documentation.
- Manage Letter of Credit (LC) and trade-related documentation.
- Prepare LC documents.
- Handle contractual and shipment-related activities, including laytime calculations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, ship-brokers, ship owners, agents, surveyors, insurance companies, and interoffice teams to ensure smooth loading and discharging operations.
- Manage a complete set of shipping documents, including liaising with banks on letters of credit, negotiations, and documentation collection.
- Perform accounting tasks such as posting receivables and payables and controlling the procurement account.
- Provide full operational support to traders once business is concluded.
Requirements
- Diploma or preferably Degree holder
- Preferably PR or local
- Minimum 7-8 years working experience, preferably from Agri or commodities DRY bulk company
- Knowledge of UCP 600, Gafta, Incoterms, Gencon charter party, accounting, laytime calculations and CMA
- Fluent in English & Mandarin
- Understands the nature of work required in the commodities space
- Remaining composed and maintaining focus while working with clients, colleagues, and immediate supervisors in high-pressure situations.
