Job Description & Requirements
At our firm, our legal associates and assistants are an important part of the team. You can expect to take an active role in a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters, while undergoing your training.
At all times, you will be working directly under our Director, Lau Kah Hee. You will also work closely with other colleagues in your team and develop the soft skills required as a lawyer.
Your specific job scope includes the following:
- Appreciate legal system and professional responsibilities.
- Conduct legal research, investigate facts and check documents.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Manage workplace legal technologies.
- Undertake legal operations relating to criminal and civil litigation; corporate/commercial transactions; and a range of private client work.
- Prepare and draft various legal documents and court papers.
- Attend court hearings and client meetings.
- Facilitate legal discussions and client interviews.
- Undertake litigation support functions.
