Responsibilities:
- Operating and managing the pastry section of the kitchen and liaising with the kitchen in-charge and pastry chefs to ensure a successful working environment.
- Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.
- Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.
- Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.
- Monitoring and ordering of ingredients.
- Inspect and clean the equipment and serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food handling practices.
- Maintain an orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Report all items of interest to Kitchen in-charge (i.e., Accidents, equipment malfunctions, menu items, problems, or shortage of supplies).
- Assist in setting up and handling other stations in the kitchen for daily operation needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience in cooking.
- Willing to work flexible hours, weekends and public holidays.
- Need to have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
