Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Power and Electrical Services System so as to ensure that the safety, reliability and availability of such services meet all regulatory requirements for MRT operation
  • Ensure that all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and in compliance with legislative requirements
  • Plan and implement a cost effective and comprehensive maintenance program
  • Achieve Operational goals for Power Supply availability and reliability
  • Develop and regularly revise Work Instructions in accordance with approved documented procedures, regulations, manufacturer recommendations, industry best practices and other relevant standards
  • Participate in handling complex investigative tasks, identifying root causes and managing comprehensive repair works
  • Responsible for the management of non-executive staff including participation in the selection process, handling disciplinary actions, conducting performance review, as well as involvement in staff training and development
  • Liaise with external agencies on all matters pertaining to the Power Supply system and its equipment
  • Prepare, evaluate and oversee maintenance contracts inclusive of certifying outsourced maintenance contractor’s work, invoices, purchase order and variation order
  • Procure all necessary tools, spares and services pertaining to the system operation, including conducting obsolescence studies and implementing followup plans
  • Ensure safe work conditions and access for Main line and Depot maintenance activities
  • Participate in testing and commissioning of equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications
  • Participate in Failure Review and Corrective Action implementation
  • Participate in the formulation of asset management plans, preparation of associated budgets and monitoring of asset performance
  • Supervise project initiatives and modification tasks, including detailed planning, execution and monitoring to ensure compliance to specifications and objectives

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Preferably 5 years relevant experience in power distribution and electrical services
  • Strong people, planning and organising skills
  • Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Good team player
  • Resourceful, self motivated and result oriented
  • Able to identify colors
