Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Power and Electrical Services System so as to ensure that the safety, reliability and availability of such services meet all regulatory requirements for MRT operation
- Ensure that all equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and in compliance with legislative requirements
- Plan and implement a cost effective and comprehensive maintenance program
- Achieve Operational goals for Power Supply availability and reliability
- Develop and regularly revise Work Instructions in accordance with approved documented procedures, regulations, manufacturer recommendations, industry best practices and other relevant standards
- Participate in handling complex investigative tasks, identifying root causes and managing comprehensive repair works
- Responsible for the management of non-executive staff including participation in the selection process, handling disciplinary actions, conducting performance review, as well as involvement in staff training and development
- Liaise with external agencies on all matters pertaining to the Power Supply system and its equipment
- Prepare, evaluate and oversee maintenance contracts inclusive of certifying outsourced maintenance contractor’s work, invoices, purchase order and variation order
- Procure all necessary tools, spares and services pertaining to the system operation, including conducting obsolescence studies and implementing followup plans
- Ensure safe work conditions and access for Main line and Depot maintenance activities
- Participate in testing and commissioning of equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to specifications
- Participate in Failure Review and Corrective Action implementation
- Participate in the formulation of asset management plans, preparation of associated budgets and monitoring of asset performance
- Supervise project initiatives and modification tasks, including detailed planning, execution and monitoring to ensure compliance to specifications and objectives
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Preferably 5 years relevant experience in power distribution and electrical services
- Strong people, planning and organising skills
- Good communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Good team player
- Resourceful, self motivated and result oriented
- Able to identify colors
