This role is responsible to shape, drive and manage the IT function and define the SEA Cluster IT strategy to drive long-term functional priorities, delivery framework for systems/ applications, integration and infrastructure deployment in line with overall regional business strategy and objectives, and Group guidelines and policies.
Overall this role will Act as a senior point of contact for stakeholders within their respective teams and lead the IT function for the cluster and oversee key areas of focus: technology in business pursuits, implementation of new business, continuous improvement, innovation deployment and first point of contact for support. It shall also help to establish and implement strategies that have long-term (5+ years) impact on business results in alignment with regional and global objectives and directly impacting the organization’s business strategy.
Responsibilities
Overall the responsibility will include :
- Act as a senior point of contact for stakeholders within their respective teams
- Lead the IT function for the cluster and oversee key areas of focus: technology in business pursuits, implementation of new business, continuous improvement, innovation deployment and first point of contact for support
- Establish and implement strategies that have long-term (5+ years) impact on business results in alignment with regional and global objectives and directly impacting the organization’s business strategy
- Lead, oversee and control highly strategic activities and initiatives across the region with significant impact on overall results and very high business risk potential
- Develop cluster IT strategy in alignment with the Regional & Global IT Strategy to meet the needs of business growth and profitability
- Direct effective and efficient delivery of all IT services and solutions within the cluster aligned with the overall business strategy and priorities
- Implement the Global IT Strategy and action programmes within the cluster, enabling cost effectiveness, service quality and business development in a highly competitive and changing marketplace.
- Network and develop strong business and IT relationships for the cluster and region, ensuring co-ordination, direction and interaction with counterparts to meet their needs and resolve issues
- Drive IT innovation across the cluster in support of customers and operational excellence
- Be the first point of escalation for IT related issues impacting cluster operations
- Steer performance, build relations and manage IT service providers based in the geography and other locations where services may be provided
Requirements
- Must have University degree in technology, business / vocational training in IT or business-related subject or equivalent experience
- Experience in Supply Chain/Logistics
- Able to assess risk from both technical and business viewpoint
- Strong Commercial Awareness Skills and excellent business acumen
- Able to negotiate and resolve conflicts - Influencing skils
- Excellent communication in verbal and written English (Tailored to all levels and audiences) - ability to conceptualise, visualise
- Ability to integrate the solution to domains/standards and best practices
- Demonstrable planning and estimating skills
- Project management hands on experience and expertise as well as ability to adopt a consulting style as appropriate
- Leadership ability - managing across cultures and country boundaries
- Ability to influence and educate senior business leads
- Experience with WMS and TMS products desired
- Proven ability to champion an idea and bring a group to consensus
- Proven record of developing self and others
- Proven ability to negotiate with customers to drive standards and show value of IT in pursuits
