The candidate will be a key team member supporting Business Office Operations including but not limited to statistics reporting, billing, patient and corporate bill adjustments, claims processing, collection, payments and arrears.
Job Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day operations of the Business Office
- Support the team within a time-sensitive environment to ensure timeliness and accuracy in Billing and Collections
- Monitor outstanding bills, work with various parties to recover the outstanding amounts as well as handle billing and payment enquiries on the use of Medishield Life/Medisave/Private Medical Insurance (PMI) claims.
- Handle bill adjustments
- Submit patients’ claims to CPF for settlement of bills and daily monitor for claims returned by PMI, CPF Board, Civil Service’s Medical Claims Proration System (MCPS) and Govt Agencies etc
- Follow up on claims issues/errors until the claims are approved
- Work with frontline operation teams to resolve bill finalisation issues
- Generate monthly rejection report, verify error messages and follow up on rejected claims for re-submission till closure
- Prepare and send out consolidated invoices for Corporate Clients in accordance with pre-agreed billing arrangements
- Follow-up on company/insurance’s Letter of Guarantees
- Prepare month-end reports on aging unbilled receivables and vigilantly track payment turnaround and initiate discussions to improve payment
- Provide routine reporting on arrears follow up actions and status before month end closing
- Perform User Acceptance Testing and ensure system changes/enhancements are implemented properly and working well
- Any other duties which may assigned from time to time
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline
- Candidates familiar with healthcare billings in OAS/Maxcare/MCPS and claims submissions will have an advantage.
- Independent worker, possess initiative to complete tasks and projects assigned and has growth mindset
- Good team player with the ability to build rapport
- Meticulous and observant with an eye for detail
- Able to multi-task and work under tight reporting timelines
- Able to handle complex and challenging situations
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office and experience in data analysis
