Finance Manager (Operations)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and meticulous Finance Manager to join our team. This role involves assisting and supporting the Senior Finance Manager in the timely and accurate submission of management reports, as well as overseeing the daily financial operations of the organisation.


Full Spectrum of Finance Operations:

  • Review the team’s output periodically and ensure timely, accurate submission of management reports and schedules.
  • Maintain bi-weekly cash balances and borrowings schedules to the CFO. Plan and estimate overall funding requirements for each payment cycle.
  • Part of the team to prepare monthly payroll processing.
  • Ensure contracts for sales and purchases are properly entered, recorded and filed.
  • Manage key customers and vendors on their respective billings, and accounting treatments and ensure timely payments/receipts.
  • Attend and respond to customers, vendors, and internal emails after internal deliberation.
  • Review PR and ascertain reasonableness for approval, instruct team to raise PO accordingly after PR is duly executed.

Overseas Entities and Financial Reporting:

  • Review overseas subsidiaries' management reports and schedules for reasonableness. Ensure proper and accurate recording of transactions in accordance to accounting standards.
  • Monthly review of sales and cost of sales, analyzed the gross profit margins by segments, projects, and customers.
  • Support quarterly group consolidation, schedules, and analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly GST submission/reconciliation and income tax computation.
  • Support and attend to yearly audits and other statutory filings. i.e. preparation of financial statements.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Review of intercompany matrix and reconciliations of the group.
  • Set up finance manual and update standard operating processes.
  • Support in ad-hoc finance functions and projects as assigned.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Hands-on, meticulous, with great attention to detail.
  • Good leader and team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Very organised, highly motivated and willing to accept changes and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, with CPA/CA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience and with at least 5 years in managerial roles.
  • Well-versed in accounting standards and tax basics. Strong workflow process with a compliance mindset.
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; knowledge of SAP B1 and/or Oracle is an advantage.
