Region Asia Pacific (APAC) holds an important and strategic position for BA Energy Systems. It covers a vast and diverse geographical area including 7 key markets: Mainland China Hong Kong & Macau, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Southeast Asia, India Bangladesh & Sri Lanka and Australia & New Zealand.
Region APAC currently consists of 500 employees across nearly 20 locations and an overall business volume of NOK 1.200 mill (External Revenue). After 3 years into the strategy period, the region has grown sales by 27%, external revenue by 34%, almost doubled EBIT with a margin improvement of 2.7pp and reduced AR/WIP days by 59 days. We are well advanced on our journey towards our 2025 ambition, with a focus on continuous sustainable growth (including M&A) while we gradually improve our profitability and transform our activity portfolio.

As a key member of the Regional Leadership Team, the Regional Finance & Performance Manager will work closely with the Regional Director, other support functions, and employees to take Region APAC to the next level. The role involves providing leadership within finance, including integration and implementation of common finance tools for our global organization, in accordance with the framework in the DNV strategy, budget, management system (DMS), and other regulations.
The Regional Finance and Performance Manager has direct line management responsibility over a pool of centralized business support function in the region (about 40 HC in total). The successful candidate will contribute broadly across the finance function and shall contribute to build professional and successful teams and a work environment for people to thrive.
The Regional Finance & Performance Manager reports directly to the Energy Systems APAC Regional Director and has a functional report to Energy Systems Finance & Performance Director.
Key Responsibilities:
· Acts as a business partner, using financial analysis and insight combined with a thorough understanding of the unit’s strategy, to support decision-making in the commercial area.
· Applies forward looking insight and work with management and the business in the commercial processes to ensure key targets are delivered (incl. cash flow)
· Improves the impact & understanding of financial reporting on business performance, ensures financial control, monitoring KPIs, risk management and compliance.
· Builds partnerships and strong relationships with the management team members and their teams, fosters profitable business growth through collaboration and influence.
· Develops talent including succession management, to further develop a team of strong finance professionals.
· Initiates and manage change processes to work smarter and achieve targeted efficiencies.
· Drive or contributes to ad hoc projects that leads to performance improvements and also having a prime role in M&A activities from the scouting phase to integration.
· Contribute to the overall Energy System finance & performance strategy by taking project lead for work streams (when relevant) or actively implementing common initiatives or agreed actions.
About you for Internal Candidates
Position Qualifications
· Professionally qualified candidate, preferably with a master’s degree in finance (Accounting, MBA, or similar). A university degree within related topics will also be relevant.
· Experience from the professional services industry, understanding business models for advisory services delivered by consultants or as digital delivery.
· Several years of leadership experience, including effective delegation and team development
· Experience in working in a cross-cultural setting, having the ability to respect and understand cultural diversity and be able to communicate and relate to personnel at different levels.
· Experience with managing and driving performance improvement initiatives.
· Strong analytical skills, using data-driven insights to propose, initiate, and implement change.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
