JOB DESCRIPTION

The Centre Leader leads in developing strategic plans and structures to foster a culture of care and trust, mentoring, collaborative professionalism, and continuous learning within the Centre. She is responsible for managing and enhancing Centre operations, driving operations and programme, developing frameworks for sustained collaborative partnerships with stakeholders and leading in modelling the Centre’s mission, vision, and values, and overseeing the well-being of all staff in the Centre.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for the daily operations of the Centre.
  • Plan, develop and implement the programme, curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment.
  • Establish collaborative partnerships with parents, families, and staff for the children’s development.
  • Guide and mentor teachers to raise the standard and performance of the centre.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Centre’s Mission, Vision, and Values, ECDA Licensing and SPARK requirements and other regulatory bodies and to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the budget and expenditures at the centre.
  • Build positive morale and a highly competitive team.
  • Collaborate partnership with stakeholders
  • Maintain a healthy enrolment rate
  • Prepare monthly reports and other relevant documents required by Management
  • Ensure the Centre meets Annual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by ECDA
  • Any other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Pre-school Education Leadership (DPE-L) / Diploma in Early Childhood Care & Education – Leadership (DECCE-L) / Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Leadership (ADECL) Preferably with a recognized Degree in Early Childhood
  • Diploma in Pre-School Teaching, Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education or other Early Childhood Diploma Qualification(s)
  • ECDA certified L2 educator
  • Preferably holds a valid first aid certificate recognized by ECDA
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a professional early childhood setting

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of early childhood curriculum, pedagogy, and assessments.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Passionate in working with children, staff, and families.
  • Is familiar with government regulations, quality assurance framework (SPARK)
