Catering Assistant / Service Crew (Canteen Operations, 5 Weekday Work)

Execute the activities of the front-of-house work stations and serving counter area. He/She carries out mise en place, cleans utensils & work areas and performs other day-to-day operations.

Each day brings its own unique experiences, your standard responsibilities will be the following:

Key Tasks

1. Clean/ sanitise work stations at the start and end of work shift
2. Ensure that utensils and serving ware are cleaned/ sanitised and ready for use & serve food
3. Assist with basic food preparation and packaging
4. Plate small dishes such as snacks, appetizers and/or desserts
5. Transfer cooked items from kitchen to warmer cart cabinets & serving counters safely and efficiently
6. Carry out mobile cart service
7. Collect orders and payments via the point of sale
8. Maintain cleanliness, tidiness of clearing point; empty trash & transfer utensils, crockery for dishwashing
9. Monitor temperature of warmer cart cabinets & beverage chillers and report any maintenance and repairs
10. Replenish and arrange F&B Items, packaging, cutlery to their assigned shelves/ stations

Functional / Technical Experience

• Previous experience in catering/ quick service/ cafeteria
• Food Safety and Hygiene and Basic Food Allergens
• Workplace Safety and Health for Food and Beverage Operations
• Customer Service Experience
• Teamwork and Interpersonal Skill; communicates easily/ openly with integrity
• Attentive, meticulous and problem solving
• Multicultural awareness and able to work and thrive within a culturally diverse environment

Qualifications

- WSQ Food Safety and Hygiene-1

- Minimum 'N' Level or NITEC in related field is recommended
