Job Description
The Smart Systems Institute (SSI) at the National University of Singapore is an interdisciplinary research institute and an experimental “playground" for human-centered AI technologies. Our vision is to enable situated AI assistance for every human to work, play, and learn. The research at SSI spans the spectrum of embodied AI, robotics, interaction design, augmented/virtual reality. The institute brings together researchers from diverse backgrounds, including AI, engineering, design, social sciences, to collaborate and to shape the future of AI.
The staff will work on the following:
- Our high-profile extended reality (XR) projects.
- Phase 2 Road Traffic Accident extended reality training simulation for SCDF and the MSC project with HTX, leading the design and art teams in terms of direction and mentoring. These projects will be used as part of core training in the respective institutions and will require high-quality and high-performance simulations as part of their training. The MSC project is a high level showcase project for HTX for their new center.
- R&D efforts in pushing the extended reality research projects in the lab in terms of user design.
Qualifications
- Experience in Games Art Modelling and Design
- Minimum 6 years experience in Modelling and Animation in the Games Industry
- Experience in design and art mentorship to students
- Have shipped at least 1-2 games
