Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex financial tasks.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure financial statements are accurate, complete, and in compliance with SFRS.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts.
- Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
- Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for financial improvement.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Monitor and manage cash flow and working capital.
- Assist with tax planning and compliance activities.
- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives, such as system implementations and process improvements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (SFRS).
- Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
