Job Responsibilities:
- Own and execute the regional procurement strategy
- Secure the services necessary to support company’s customers at an attractive and competitive cost
- Create and own procurement frameworks on contract negotiations, periodic business reviews and any cross-departmental interactions
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure supplier has the best supplier network
- Possess working knowledge and be kept updated of current and upcoming trends that could impact the ocean strategy, service levels and cost case within the region
- Maintain a constant feedback loop
- Work closely with business units and share any necessary information that might affect cost
- Spokesperson for sustainability within the category handled
- Other relevant duties as required
Job Requirements:
- Minimum Degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 5 years of freight procurement experience preferred
- Experience in tender management and contract negotiation
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience working in a matrix organisation is advantageous
- Open to overseas travel - up to 25%
