Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with expertise in airport data management and strong project management capabilities to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in data engineering, and high proficiency in SQL. This role will also encompass project management of a chatbot project aimed at improving customer service and operational workflows within airport environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust data pipelines for collecting, processing, and analyzing airport baggage data.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business users, to integrate data sources and develop solutions for operational purposes.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of the chatbot project, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through effective data governance practices and continuous monitoring.
- Implement scalable and efficient ETL processes using SQL and other relevant technologies.
- Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in data engineering.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database management (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform).
- Proven track record of managing complex projects, or similar AI-driven and data-driven initiatives.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
Education Requirements
At least a Bachelor’s degree in any of these faculties:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Programming & Systems Analysis
- Science (Computer Studies)
