About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced React software engineer to join our dynamic startup team. This role is pivotal in driving the development and management of our Gator App Family (Pod/Pod+), SOM app, and various cloud-based services. The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end development, including coding, testing, deployment, debugging, and documentation. Additionally, you will lead the rewrite of our iOS app in React Native and ensure seamless integration between the app, cloud services, and devices.
Key Responsibilities
App Development and Management
- Ownership: Take full ownership of the Gator App Family (Pod/Pod+), SOM app, managing the entire lifecycle from concept to deployment.
- Development: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code. Develop new features and enhance existing functionalities.
- Testing: Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure high-quality code. Conduct unit, integration, and system testing.
- Deployment: Manage the app deployment process, ensuring smooth releases and updates.
- Debugging: Identify and fix bugs promptly. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all code, APIs, and application processes.
React Native Rewrite
- Migration: Lead the effort to create an iOS app in React Native, ensuring performance and maintainability.
- Best Practices: Implement best practices for mobile development and ensure the app adheres to the latest industry standards.
Integration and Connectivity
- End-to-End Integration: Ensure seamless integration between the app, cloud services, devices, and SOM system.
- API Management: Develop and maintain APIs for communication between the app and backend services.
- Device Communication: Facilitate smooth interaction between the app and various connected devices.
Cloud and Data Management
- Platform Management: Take over and manage the platform from both the cloud and app sides.
- Data Handling: Oversee the management of raw data (CMS), processing, and processed data.
- Server Uptime and Security: Ensure high server uptime and robust security measures to protect data integrity and user privacy.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile app development
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in React Native, iOS development, and cloud services. Strong understanding of API integration and data management.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Documentation: Strong ability to document code and processes effectively.
- Security: Experience with implementing and maintaining security protocols for mobile apps and cloud services.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Android and iOS development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS,Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of backend development and server management.
