Taking the next step in its expansion into the Asian market, the third Zuhlke Asia location in Vietnam was launched last year. This year, the Zuhlke Group announced the opening of a new site in Edinburgh, bringing its network up to 17 offices across 10 countries.
As the Market Unit Lead (MUL) for Financial Services, you will define and execute strategy and tactics (in alignment with the rest of the Zuhlke Group) to significantly grow Zuhlke’s Financial Services business in Asia, with full responsibility of the revenue and gross profit of this Market Unit. You will manage an experienced team of Business Solution Managers (BSM), Digital Consultants, Engagement Managers and Delivery Managers in support of this growth, with an approximate organisation size totaling 150 talents.
With overall responsibility for the development and evolution of the Market Unit offerings, you will work closely with the Sales Excellence and Marketing Practices to define and evolve solutions that strongly position Zuhlke in the Financial Services sector. You will ensure that these offerings are backed by industry-leading consulting and engineering practices, well-documented approaches and methodologies, marketing assets and technology frameworks. The MUL may also draw on the offerings that have been developed elsewhere in the Zuhlke Group and localise them to meet the needs of Zuhlke Asia.
This is a multi-faceted, exciting role where you’ll be the key driver to further accelerate the success story of the Zuhlke Financial Services Market Unit to greater heights.
Your goal.
- As the MUL, you will ensure that projects in your Financial Services portfolio have access to the required skills and assets required for successful deliveries of client engagements. These might be developed under the control of the Heads of Practices or Capability Teams of the Zuhlke Group.
- With regards to sales responsibilities: you are responsible for establishing relationships with management and C-level decision makers of the buying centre of our clients. As the MUL represents Zuhlke in sales processes, you will ensure that our projects are proposed and delivered in a way that they generate client value and client success. The MUL will be responsible for content within all proposals and will negotiate contracts jointly with Zuhlke Sales staff. Ideally, you would bring, and further expand, customer relationships at senior levels in collaboration with the business development function.
- Together with the team from the Sales and Delivery excellence practices, you will respond to customer enquiries and RFPs – contributing to bid/no-bid decisions, be accountable to the creation of proposals and pitch them and engage in other customer relationship management activities (particularly with customer’s management and C-level representatives).
- You provide leadership and support to Engagement Leads that manage engagements within their portfolio. The MUL also ensures that Zuhlke’s project achieves or exceeds the value that the client expects from the project.
- You may represent Zuhlke in steering committees and provide an escalation level for resolution of issues for our client. The MUL will represent Zuhlke in client events and as a presenter at conferences.

- Liaising with the Heads of Practices on the following: Escalation of staffing issues in projects, demand management for capacity and skills, scouting of technical innovations that are delivering value for our clients and should be pursued within the Practice
