Job Description:
As a Senior Cargo Flow Analyst, the role involves looking at space optimisation and capacity management of containers for the respective trade lanes assigned. The individual will be responsible for the allocation of the flow of cargoes and ensuring operational efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of cargoes to ensure space is optimised in vessels ensuring trade profits for the organisation.
- Collaborate with shipping agents, carriers, and other service providers to negotiate rates, manage contracts, and ensure timely delivery of cargo.
- Work closely with agents on their performance review to ensure operational efficiencies.
- Maintain planned and unplanned roll over or overbooking situation within acceptable level though cargo planning.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelors Degree in Maritime, Supply Chain, Logistics or any related discipline is a plus.
- More than 2 years of experience in the cargo planning or trade field is a plus.
- Strong communication and analytical skills is highly advantageous.
- Individuals with a passion in shipping and have experienced being in a shipping liner previously is highly advantageous.
