Our client is seeking a Head of Compliance with splendid Corporate Banking background to join their team. Candidate should be comfortable to be a sole contributor and is to expect to cover end-to-end of the compliance duties within the firm.
Responsibilities
- AML/KYC Oversight: Lead, supervise, and manage AML and KYC operations.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate key compliance risks faced by banks.
- Compliance Evaluation: Assess departmental performance against compliance standards and goals.
- Issue/conflict Management: Handle compliance issues involving key personnel and oversee related investigations.
- Regulatory Training and Advice: Provide staff with guidance and training on regulatory requirements and professional conduct.
- Periodic Compliance Reviews: Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to policies and regulations, and facilitate the whistle-blowing process.
- Project Management: Oversee and manage assigned projects.
- Policy Maintenance: Develop, review, revise and update internal policies and operational procedures based on any changes from MAS regulations.
- Regulatory Reporting: Liaise with and report to MAS and other regulatory bodies.
- Project Management: Manage ad-hoc projects assigned.
Requirements
- Must possess minimum over 10 years of Compliance experience covering all functions/aspects, preferably has been functioning for a few years as the Head of Compliance/Compliance Manager within Corporate Banking
- Possess sufficient Team Management experience and comfortable to lead the company as a sole contributor
- Be adaptable and flexible, comfortable working in a fairly new established branch
