Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a variety of functions related to the research.
- Independently carry out the design and execution of the research project.
- Contribute to project management, including preparing oral presentations and written report.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the laboratory.
- Assist in laboratory management including ethics approval, procurement of consumables, maintaining laboratory records and safety protocols.
- Perform other research-related duties related to the daily running of the laboratory as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Reguirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a minimum of two years of experience in a research laboratory
- Previous experience in molecular biology and rodent animal work techniques is essential
- Experience in electrophysiology is a plus, but not necessary.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently and effectively with precision
- Meticulous in record keeping and possess good organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills as an effective team player
