Job Summary:
We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Bartender to join our team and contribute to the success of our bar. As a key team member, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and supporting the Head Bartender in managing the bar operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Mixology and Beverage Service:
1. Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and customer preferences, ensuring consistency and high quality.
2. Cocktail Expertise: Utilize advanced mixology skills to create and recommend cocktails, maintaining high standards of taste and presentation.
3. Quality Control: Ensure the highest standards of beverage preparation, presentation, and taste are consistently met.
Customer Service:
1. Exceptional Service: Provide exceptional service to customers by greeting them, taking orders, and ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
2. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers, build rapport, answer inquiries, and handle feedback professionally.
3. Upselling: Promote and upsell beverages and menu items to enhance the customer experience and contribute to revenue growth.
Staff Support and Training:
1. Staff Training: Assist in training junior bartenders and bar staff, ensuring they adhere to high standards of service and professionalism.
2. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and positive team atmosphere that encourages creativity and innovation.
Inventory and Bar Management:
1. Inventory Management: Assist in managing bar inventory, including restocking supplies, monitoring stock levels, and placing orders as needed.
2. Cost Control: Help manage inventory to control costs, minimize waste, and maximize profitability.
3. Cleanliness and Organization: Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
Compliance and Safety:
1. Legal Compliance: Ensure the bar operates in compliance with all relevant local regulations and health and safety standards.
2. Safety Standards: Maintain rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all beverages are prepared to the highest standards and follow proper safety protocols.
Qualifications:
● Experience: Proven experience as a Bartender with at least 3-5 years in a busy bar or restaurant environment, and a minimum of 1 year in a senior or supervisory role.
● Skills: Advanced bartending and mixology skills, excellent customer service and communication skills, and strong leadership abilities.
● Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of various beverages, cocktails, and drink preparation techniques.
● Education: Diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in bartending or mixology are a plus.
● Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment.
● Personal Attributes: Friendly, outgoing, detail-oriented, and able to work well under pressure.
