Location: Changi Naval Base
Transport: Shuttle service to and from Changi Naval Base at Simei (AM) and Tanah Merah (PM) MRT
Scope of Work:
- Perform maintenance tasks onboard vessels (mainly in harbor)
- Perform maintenance works onboard vessels in the shipyard occasionally
- Perform maintenance works at workshop
- Perform defect troubleshooting onboard vessels’ systems
- Perform installation/removal work for equipment/systems
- Perform refurbishment of electronics unit/assemblies
- Being physically fit and ready to work outdoors and sail occasionally for a period of 1 week
- Being flexible to work onboard while sailing or overseas if needed.
Academic Qualification:
- NITEC or Diploma in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering
- RSN maintenance training certifications would be considered
Experience: (would be advantageous)
- Working knowledge and experience working onboard commercial and military vessels on underwater, mechanical / electronics / electrical systems
- Working knowledge and experience on computer software (words, excel)
- Understanding maintenance regime and basic experience in troubleshooting systems till card level.
- Training would be provided if necessary.
Personality:
- Good interpersonal skill
- Good teamwork and discipline
- Singaporean only due to security restrictions
