Your key roles and responsibilities will be as follows:
Role Summary:
- Overall custodian for all applicable regulations & Standards in the company with respect to vehicle compliance, maintaining & updating its validity at regular intervals.
- Understand the overall requirements/specifications of the regulations and standards imposed on the vehicle affecting Homologation and product safety.
- Conduct search of the applicable standards and regulatory requirement for the respective target markets, including local road traffic acts specific to our vehicles
- Disseminate the requirements in the regulations and standards to allow Engineering, production processes and quality assurance to achieve consistency and reliability to meet product requirements.
- Familiarize with the process and documentation on the application/submission for the World Vehicle Type Approval (WVTA)/Homologation and road worthiness for specific target countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compilation and maintenance (regular updates) of the applicable standards and regulations required for the vehicle
- Evaluate and select the testing services to undertake the engineering consultancy and WVTA activities for the vehicles.
- Understand the gaps and feature requirements of the vehicle for compliance to road traffic acts in target countries.
- Prepare and submit the documents for the WVTA prior vehicle submission.
- Coordinate between consultancies, test labs and Scorpio Electric on progress, queries / issues to drive closures and acceptance of vehicle for WVT Approval according to the master-schedule for vehicle launch.
- Coordinate with production for the sample built to be submitted for the WVTA and transportation of the vehicle to the designated test facility.
