We are seeking a junior IT developer to oversee system maintenance, user access rights, query design, and support in our analytical environment. Join us in ensuring efficient operations and data accuracy.
Job Description:
- Perform system maintenance and administrative duties in terms of Users Access rights, privileges assignment
- Design and Develop Queries and assign the users permissions to execute the queries with approved users’ rights matrix in place
- Responsible for ensuring all queries created by users follow strict naming convention without the ability to perform UPDATES function
- Responsible for identification, segregation and assignment of In-House Queries versus Customer’s related Queries
- Provide day-to-day support to users using the company’s analytical system that relies heavily on queries
- Responsible for ensuring the daily ETL (Extract, Transform, Loading) process is carried out seamlessly from source to destination and reviewing the logs for any exceptions
- Execute errors handling tasks whenever the ETL process failed
- Responsible for putting in place control procedures for versions control of all queries
- Follow strictly the DMF (Data Management Framework) so that the analytical system can operate effectively with accurate data mapping according to the DMF
- Maintain the analytical system database according to guidelines provided to ensure optimum performance of the DB
- Coordinate and partner with the different technology leads to ensure datafeeds procedures are maintained according to guidelines
- Act as a Backup person to the Business Analyst during vacation period
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with MS SQL and Visual Studio is a must
- Familiarity with basic programming languages such as SQL, HTML, C#, and JavaScript
- Basic knowledge of IIS concepts and server environments
- Proficiency in the development life cycle, patch management process, and process mapping will be an added advantage
- Strong analytical skills, reasoning ability, effective communication skills, and familiarity with systems and operations are required
