Job Description:
As a Warehouse Assistant, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe handling of shipments within the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading shipments, securing goods for transportation, and maintaining a well-organized storage facility. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and accurate movement of products through the supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload shipments onto trucks, containers, or other transport modes.
- Secure shipments to prevent shifting and ensure the safety of goods during transportation.
- Unload shipments into designated locations within storage facilities.
- Move items manually or using specialized equipment, such as forklifts and pallets.
- Guide truck drivers onto loading docks.
- Inspect shipments on arrival, during storage, and before dispatch.
- Follow safety policies and regulations when moving freight or handling equipment.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred.
- Certification to ride a forklift truck preferred.
- Must be able to work well in a team.
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions; able to work independently with little guidance.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, bend, and lift heavy materials.
- Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends.
Additional Information:
- Working Location: Alps Ave.
- Working Hours: 5.5 working days, Monday to Friday 0830 to 1730 . Saturday 0830 to 1230
- Company Transport: Pick-up points - Bedok, Pasir Ris, Tampines, Punggol, Sengkang.
